Art thieves. The bane of any artist, ever. It's apparently become a trend for the younger generation to start out like this. When people call them out, they retort with flaming, bashing on how supposedly sh*tty our work looks, and straight spamming.

They normally fall under 4 categories, sorted by how common each are:
1. Recolors: Recolor Thieves basically take your own or official art and color over them before claiming them as their own. These are very noticeable as the colored parts have little to no lining around them.
Thief Effort: ★☆☆
Sore-Thumb: ★★☆

2. Art Claims: Sorta tied with Recolors, Art Claimers flat-out take your art without any changes and say it's their original "art".  If you're looking at both original and copy, look at the dates, then the gallery.
Thief Effort: wat iz efert?
Sore-Thumb: ★★★

3. Reskins: Also known as Tracers, Reskinners trace over someone else's art in an attempt to hide the original work. They're different from Recolors in that a noticeable effort was made to change the original look.
Thief Effort: ★★☆
Sore-Thumb: ★☆☆

4. Chara Thieves: The least common Art Thief, Chara Thieves can draw, but rather than do their own thing, take others concepts, ideas, and, well, characters as their own, usually (read: always) without consent. It's usually harder to tell with these as to whether they're thieves or not, especially if the quality of art from the thief is better than the source, or if the source is that obscure.
Thief Effort: ★★★
Sore-Thumb: ☆☆☆

If someone stole my art, I would praise them. Praise them for thinking my art was worthy of being stolen. I would say something along the lines of "Your art looks amazing. Hope you have fun with your life." while reporting them for thievery. Just for the hell of it.
